3 tips on how I stay healthy in a polluted world

At the time of this post, I haven’t been sick with a flu or cold in 10 years!

Sure, some "experts" say that getting sick is good for us, and I bet there’s a scientific study or two or three to back up that claim, however, I opted for a lifestyle shift that is clearly keeping me healthy………..so GO Me, right?!  πŸ˜

I do get interested in current studies about food items that I believed were healthy (because someone decades ago said so) but they actually are not. One of those food items for me is eggs, and the info is at the very end of this blog post, so check it out and just see what resonates with you.

Studies that expose more information is great, however I've realized that my own self-science helps me see more clearly and allows me to pivot quickly rather than marinade in outdated information.

If I didn't opt for self-science, I'd be at the mercy of every food/diet fad out there.

Do you know people who rely solely on frivolous food fads? They jump on the latest bandwagon of imbalanced eating and then influence others with their lack of discernment......and I gotta say, that drives me bananas.

Here are 3 super beneficial pro-health strategies that anyone can choose. And hey, if this former cheese curd addict can do it, so can you! 😊

  1. Cleansing: it takes just 10 short days to rock out a Master Cleanse and purge a layer of old caked-on waste from the colon and intestinal tract. This decades-old crap is a breeding ground for yeast, molds, fungus, bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Eww, let's get it out and feel better.

  2. Time in nature: fresh air exercise amongst the trees and dirt…..........refreshing! (from the gal who once said "I don't do nature" :)

  3. Food Choices: after keeping notes of what I was eating, I discovered what foods were a 'Yes please or No thanks' based on 3 things- my energy level, digestion, and breathing ability.

Yes please- are foods easy to digest and assimilate!   i.e.: fermented foods, huge fresh salads, smoothies, vegetables, raw fresh juices, loaded oatmeal, sweet potato power bowls, etc..
No thanks- are foods that are nutrient deficient, mucus creating, hormone mimicking, or straight up poison.  Here is my list of those things.

    • The Whites: white flour, white rice, white sugar, white noodles, and everything made with White like cakes, cookies, pies, muffins, breads, crackers, chips, etc. Whites are notoriously void of any nutrients. This omission was difficult for a gal who loved cookies enough to have them for lunch, but my body clearly does not like those things.

    • Dairy: being a midwest gal, I loved cheese most of my life, but my digestion, hormones, & nose hated it. With the help of my cycle, I realized that in order to have a good mood, strong energy levels, and a positive + pain-free cycle experience depended on NOT having someone else’s hormones coursing through my body! This is absolutely what motivates me to be dairy-free. Know that it takes about 3 weeks for the yuk to leave the body, so give the dairy-free life 3 months or 3 cycles, and you will see what I’m talking about. And I can breathe through my nose better when dairy-free because there's no excess mucus!

    • Eggs: similar to ☝️, my cycle and digestion helped me phase out eggs completely. I noticed I would feel nauseous after eating scrambled eggs. And since eggs are the very definition of having someone else’s hormones in my body, my own self-science has helped me opt out of eggs or anything containing eggs. Below is a more detailed explanation of eggs that is quite compelling. Check it out.

    •  Alcohol- minimal to none: I used to drink alcohol quite regularly and then realized it did not serve me. The glaring evidence was the sinus congestion I get every time I drank alcohol. There’s plenty of research showing that alcohol doesn’t belong in an anti-cancer/wellness lifestyle. And that’s my goal, no cancer.

What's your goal?

🍳 All about EGGS From DrMcDougall 3/29/2022:

πŸ₯šEggs are the richest unprocessed food commonly consumed.
Rational thinking people might partake of this delicacy on a special occasion, such as after the annual Easter egg hunt. Reasonable behavior is undermined by the efforts of the American Egg Board whose mission to support America’s egg farmers and increase demand for eggs and egg products and their efforts have resulted in the monthly per capita shell egg consumption of 14.9 eggs on average.
Annual expenditures were approximately $22 million per year for a total of $222.3 million over the 2007 through 2017 periods. The website eggtruth.com is an excellent resource to the misleading advertising put out by the American Egg Board.

πŸ₯šEggs Provide Ideal Nutrition (for Pre-Hatched Chicks)
The purpose of a hen’s egg is to provide all the materials necessary to develop the one cell – created by the joining of a cock’s sperm with a hen’s ovum – into a complete chick with feathers, beak, legs, and tail. This miraculous growth and development is supported by a 1½ ounce package of ingredients – the hen’s egg – jam-packed with proteins, fats, cholesterol, vitamins and minerals. As a result, the hen’s egg has been called “one of nature’s most nutritious creations.” Indeed, an egg is the richest of all foods, and far too much of a “good thing” for people.  The components of a cooked egg, even a hard-boiled egg, are absorbed through our intestines.  As a result, this highly-concentrated food provides too much cholesterol, fat and protein for our body to process safely. The penalties are diseases of overnutrition – heart disease, obesity, and type-2 diabetes to name only a few consequences from malnutrition due to the Western diet.
πŸ₯š Eggs as “Ideal Protein”
Eggs are promoted as the ideal source of protein for people – often referred to as a “perfect protein.”
Eggs are high in protein, but the kinds of proteins in hen’s eggs are not ideal for people.  When volunteer subjects were fed different foods to determine the ability of humans to utilize various protein mixtures, investigators found that our bodies can utilize the proteins in a mixture of eggs and potatoes 36 percent more efficiently than those from eggs alone. If the protein make-up of eggs were ideal, then you couldn’t improve upon it by adding potatoes, could you?  Vegetable sources provide for all the protein needs of people – much safer and more ideal than from hen’s eggs.

🧐Too Much of a “Good Thing” – Protein
(The Problem with Egg Whites)
A whole egg is 32% protein and the white of an egg is essentially 100% protein. Infants, growing children, and adults need, at most, 5% of their calories from protein. Therefore, eggs and egg products are 6 to 20 times more concentrated in protein than we need. Excess protein places burdens on our body, and especially on organs of metabolism, the liver and kidneys. Animal proteins, and particularly those from egg whites, are high in the troublesome, sulfur-containing amino acids, such as methionine.
Here are 6 examples of how excess sulfur-containing amino acids in your diet can adversely affect your health:
1)  Amino acids, as the name implies, are acids; the sulfur-containing amino acids are the strongest acids of all, because they break down into powerful sulfuric acid. Excess dietary acid is the primary cause of bone loss leading to osteoporosis and kidney stone formation.
2)  The sulfur-containing amino acid methionine is metabolized into homocysteine. This substance is a risk factor associated with heart attacks, strokes, peripheral vascular disease, venous thrombosis, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and depression.
3)  Sulfur feeds cancerous tumors. Cancer cell metabolism is dependent upon methionine being present in the diet; whereas normal cells can grow on a methionine-free diet (feeding off other sulfur-containing amino acids).
4)  Sulfur from sulfur-containing amino acids is known to be toxic to the tissues of the intestine, and to have deleterious effects on the human colon, even at low levels – possibly causing ulcerative colitis.
5)  Restriction of methionine in the diet has been shown to prolong the life of experimental animals.
6)  Halitosis, body odor, and noxious flatus – akin to the smell of rotten eggs – are direct results of the sulfur-containing amino acids we eat. The foul odors of sulfur gases should be a clear message that something is terribly wrong and deserves our immediate attention.

🍳Eggs are filled with too much protein, cholesterol, calories, fat, bacteria, and environmental chemical contamination to be consumed with any frequency, with any expectation of health.
🍳 Egg protein is a common source of allergy in infants, children and adults, producing problems from hives to asthma.
🍳 Eggs are high in fat which promotes obesity and type-2 diabetes.
🍳 Fats and cholesterol in eggs promote the formation of cholesterol gallstones and gallbladder attacks.
🍳 Egg-borne infections caused by the salmonella bacteria can give rise to cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, chills, fever and/or headache – food poisoning called salmonellosis.
🍳 Eggs are a main contributor to human exposure to dioxin and other environmental chemicals that are known to cause birth defects, neurologic damage, and cancer.
🍳 Many nutritional qualities of eggs are similar to the nutritional qualities of cow’s milk, cheese, chicken, beef, and fish – foods known to cause major health problems when consumed in typical amounts of people living in western societies.

Hope this info was helpful for you in some way and inspires you do do your own self-science! Remember to take notes!

Cheers to good health with God's food & medicine!
