Getting Healthy: Pug edition 🐢
When I decided to be intentional about creating my wellness, I found a new sense of confidence and definitely empowerment! ✌️

The tools I learned about & implemented for myself, I also applied to the pugs.

Most of them.
Nothing vegan, because they're carnivores.

I'm happy to say that I don't spend much money at the vet clinic anymore. I can take care of things at home. So vet visits are for blood work only at this point.

I'd like to share with you Gus's health-related timeline. If I can be empowered, so can you!

Gus the pug ❀️
2012 Gus age 5, starts having frequent allergies
2012 chemical-free living in our home & business becomes a priority
2013 I've finally done enough food elimination trials with him that I know what the triggers are
2013 Just in time too, because after numerous histamine reactions lasting 3 days each time, a mast cell tumor appeared
2013 I realized what the underlying cause is of his allergies, and i'm upset with myself
2013 began giving Gus vet-approved essential oil supplements that I make myself
2014 Gus enjoys the healthiest food & liquids on the market
2014 the mast cell tumor goes away on its own
2014 the chronic ear infections have ended
2014 I celebrate my persistence in helping his immune system
2017 the mast cell tumor came back so I amped up the wellness tools, and the tumor went away again within 3 weeks
2020 I found Color Therapy! An amazing tool that doesn't need to be ingested
2021 Gus turned 14!
2022 Gus turned 15!

We nap under the color lamp, mostly use Green. See my Color Therapy post here. Every pet home needs a color lamp!

The realization that I AM capable, rather than helpless and doctor dependent, was soooo liberating!

It's even positively affected my emotional state/anxiety level!

I have WAY less anxiety overall when I make sure my health (& the pug's health) is in MY hands.

After all, good health starts at home.
